Brasileiros que vivem em situação de extrema pobreza são negros, ou pardos, jovens e vivem na região Nordeste. O levantamento é do próprio governo federal com base no Censo realizado em 2010 pelo IBGE e complementado com estudos do Ipea.
Com base nesses dados o governo brasileiro passou a considerar que famílias que vivem com renda de apenas 70 reais são consideradas extremamente pobres. Esse parâmetro será usado pelo próprio governo na execução do plano "Brasil sem Miséria" a ser lançado brevemente.
A se considerar esses dados então vivem na situação de extrema miséria nesse País nada menos de 16 milhões e 200 mil brasileiros, o que equivale a 8,5 por cento do total de nossa população.
E desses se constatou que quase 71 por cento são pardos ou pretos e quase 51 por cento deles têm, no máximo, 19 anos de idade. E mais um dado esclarecedor dessa pesquisa: 60 por cento destes vivem na região Nordeste.
Pelos planos da presidente Dilma Rousseff vai ser possível erradicar a extrema pobreza no Brasil nos próximos quatro anos.
Trata-se como se vê de algo ousado e de um esforço que será empreendido pelo governo federal com apoio nos governos estaduais e municipais. A isso se pode chamar de luta titânica na qual deve se engajar toda a sociedade brasileira.
